With a unique location in a fertile valley by the sea, our region is blessed with fresh seafood and an abundance of local farms, providing a vibrant and varied culinary scene. Enjoy fresh local fare in the open air from the top of Mount Washington to the shores of the Salish Sea, and everything in between.

Comox is studded with detour-worthy coffee shops like Komox Espresso Grind & Smoothie Bar and The Mill Coffee, and Milano as well as local watering holes oozing with atmosphere like New Tradition Brewing, Church St Taphouse, Land & Sea Brewing, and Blackfin Pub.

Be sure to check out Cumberland’s unfussy fare for a satisfying apres bike food scene. Cumberland Bakery, Biblio Taco, Rider’s Pizza, and Cumberland Brewing Company are not to be missed.

Courtenay’s got those bases covered and more, with the Comox Valley Farmer’s Market, 40 Knots Winery, and Beaufort Vineyard to explore! Some hotspot restaurants include Nikkei Ramen-Ya, Il Falcone, Atlas Cafe, and of course Bigfoot Donuts for dessert.

Coming out of hibernation for the spring and summer, there’s also a range of additional seasonal offerings in the warm weather months. Check out the Black Market Food Truck, which serves a range of indulgent comfort foods, and Dubois Food Co., which features fresh ingredients from local farms and makers out of Filberg Heritage Park. For a convenient charcuterie-style spread to pack along for your hike, beach adventure or picnic in the park, try either Runge’s European Deli or Jam & Co Luxury Picnics.

Merely an appetizer for the buffet of options available in the Valley, our restaurant scene is yours to discover! And for visitors with specific dietary needs, we trust you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the options available in the region - from vegan ramen to gluten-free pizza - you’re sure to be well fed.
