Harvest Tea & Silent Art Auction Fundraiser

Enjoy homemade treats and tea while you browse (and bid on) amazing artwork donated by area artists!

The Reverend Ryan Slifka, minister at St. George’s United Church, invites the public to the church’s Harvest Tea & Silent Art Auction Fundraiser on Sunday, October 25th, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The tea will feature a variety of teas and homemade baked goods made by some of our congregants and friends.

The silent auction will feature artwork by recognized area artists. From phenomenal photographs and oil paintings to hand-painted potion bottles and pottery, there is something for everyone.

Each artist has chosen either the Comox Valley Food Bank or L'Arche Comox Valley to receive the proceeds from their individual pieces.

Tickets to attend are $20 and available through Eventbrite, at Laughing Oyster Bookstore, or at the door. Since there are a limited number of seats, advance ticket purchases are encouraged.

This event is part of the St. George’s United Church’s Common Good fundraising events, which also includes twenty-one Concerts for the Common Good hosted by the church since 2023. The intent of events like this and the concerts is to raise funds for area non-profits and to help the church to continue serving the community more each year.

Since 2023, the church donated more than $65,000 to community groups, including L’Arche Comox Valley, Habitat for Humanity, LUSH, the Comox Valley Food Bank, the Coldest Night of the Year, CYMC, the Comox Valley Child Development Association, the Transition Society, and many others.
