Lunar New Year celebration - Year of the Snake

Join the concert with Suona Gang musical band from Taiwan

Comox Valley Multicultural Society brings back Lunar New Year celebrations, the series of celebrations will be kick off on Friday Jan 31 and Saturday Feb 1.

Join us to welcome Year of the Snake. Lunar New Year Day 2025 will be on Jan 29 this year, based on the lunar calendar. The celebration not only in Asia but is now over he world. Celebration last for 15 days, it ended on the Lantern Festival Day.

This year, the Suona Gang from Taiwan -a band plays a mix of pop, jazz, and traditional folk music-will have a Lunar New Year Concert on Feb 1 at the Old Church Theatre from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

For people who cannot make the celebrationc concert on Saturday night, come to join us at the Farmers Market, Native Sons Hall; to experience a surprising "Flash Mob" with all. To those folks don't like to drive at night, an afternoon Lunar New Year celebration will be hosted by Evergreen Club at the Florennce Filberg Centre.
