Open Cockpit Day! 2026
Explore. Discover. Get Inside History.
Bring your family and friends and join us on Saturday, August 15, from 1000 to 1600 hrs, for a memorable day of aviation history, hands-on exploration, and fun for the whole family!
Visitors will have the opportunity to step aboard and explore several of our historic aircraft, including the:
- Argus
- Aurora
- Buffalo
- Piasecki
- Labrador
- Sea King
- T-33 Silver Star
Guests will also be able to visit our new Vampire Pavilion, home to the museum's newest addition to the Heritage Air Park.
Knowledgeable volunteer guides will be stationed throughout the day to answer questions, share the history of each aircraft, and provide fascinating insights into their operational service. Visitors can also browse our souvenir tent, featuring museum merchandise, and enjoy a variety of additional static displays throughout the grounds.
Admission is by donation, with all proceeds supporting the Comox Air Force Museum's mission to preserve, interpret, and share Canada's military aviation heritage for future generations.
Please Note: There are no public washroom facilities available at the Heritage Air Park. Washrooms are conveniently located across the street at Glacier Gardens Arena and are also available at the Comox Air Force Museum.
