Summer Concert featuring Fourtune and the Watershed Band
The Glacier Grannies welcome you to an outdoor concert
This event has finished.
The four members of Fourtune all sing in Just in Time Choirs’ Jems treble ensemble, and from this connection the group was conceived. Amanda Low (percussion) also sang in the Canadian Military Wives Choir Comox for several years. Jacquie DeLong (keyboards, guitar) has performed in numerous choirs and vocal groups throughout her life. Jane Dunnett (guitar, bass, mandolin) who is also a member of Watershed Band, has been motivated by music throughout her life. Tracey Alvarez (uke) is an experienced musician from a young age and has performed for special events throughout BC.
Since its inception, the group has applied its vocal skills by creating harmonies and accompanying them with a rootsy, contemporary vibe. It is ‘fourtunate’ these four musicians have an opportunity to share their music with you.
Jane Dunnett (guitar, bass, mandolin), John Brown (guitar, harmonica) and Keith Goddard (guitar, bass, lap steel) are the three members of Watershed Band. They have trained voices and embrace the opportunity to sing 3-part harmony in many of their songs, producing a folky vibe, or a more edgy blues sound.
Since Watershed Band’s inception several years ago, they have enjoyed playing for a variety of venues, including Comox Valley Farmer’s Markets, the Gardens on Anderton, Gorge Harbour on Cortes Island, Campbell River Car Show, Care Homes and local pubs. They also embrace giving back to this generous community, and have played fundraisers for Project Watershed, The Kidney Foundation and The Glacier Grannies.
The roots, rock and bluesy tunes are performed with new twists in tempo, instrument changes and harmonies. Each new live performance creates special Watershed moments for the band. .
