Spirits of the West Coast Art Gallery
Since 2006 Spirits of the West Coast Art Gallery has specialized in a large variety of traditional and contemporary Northwest Coast Indigenous Artwork and Jewelry. With over 100 artists of Haida, Kwakwaka’wakw, Coast Salish, and West Coast descent the gallery offers a wide selection of native masks, paddles, argillite carvings, sculptures, prints, silver and gold rings, bracelets, pendants, and more. The gallery is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the art and cultures of the Northwest Coast First Nations and find unique one-of-a-kind works of art.

In a beautifully lit and curated gallery evocative of an indigenous longhouse, is the Spirits of the West Coast Art Gallery and Gift Shop. Fans and collectors of authentic First Nations art and jewellery are treated to an amazing array of unique creations including masks, carvings, cedar sculptures, indigenous prints and jewellery in gold, silver, wood and argillite. The Gallery is located on a peaceful country road amongst farms with sheep (and their lambs) offering breathtaking views across the valley of the picturesque snow-capped mountains.
Accessibility-wise, the gallery is well-designed. Once inside the step-free entrance and into the gallery, there is ample space for moving around. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. There is a wheelchair-accessible bathroom with a universal height toilet and grab bars. Display cases are well stocked with an impressive range of jewellery, and the walls are decorated with masks of great skill and beauty.
Parking is limited, but there’s a designated accessible spot near the entrance, and while there isn’t a push plate automatic door opener, there is a clearly marked doorbell that can be rung to alert staff to let you in.
