The King George Hotel

The King George Hotel has been welcoming miners, crooks, and royalty since 1909. For more than a century, it has served Cumberland as a gathering place where trails, turns, and tales converge. After extensive renovations, the King George is ready to reclaim its place at the heart of the community — fully restored, thoughtfully curated, and quietly elevated by modern comforts.
A heritage home base in the centre of a legitimate Pacific Northwest adventure destination, the King George places Cumberland’s iconic singletrack, powder skiing, emerald rainforests, and coastal paddling within easy reach. After a day outdoors, return to cozy rooms, a peaceful place to unwind, and good food and craft beer in our Public House (coming soon).
From eclectic festivals and local artists to small-town main street culture, the King George offers a refined base from which to explore Cumberland’s wild past and welcoming present.
